Cal Poly Steel Bridge is a student-run competition team consisting of undergraduate students within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Every year team members work together to design, fabricate, and construct a one-tenth scale model steel bridge to compete at the Pacific Southwest Symposium and the National Student Steel Bridge Competition in the Spring. This project incorporates technical knowledge with hands-on experience consistent with Cal Poly's "Learn By Doing" motto.
